YOUR ROOM
HAS A SOUND.
LET'S MEASURE IT.
Understand the acoustic behavior of your space using your browser microphone. No installation. No upload. Processed entirely on your device.
What are you recording?
Your microphone data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share results.
HOW IT WORKS
Measure Noise Floor
SonicSpace listens for 10 seconds to establish your room's ambient noise level before any measurement.
Capture an Impulse
One sharp hand clap creates an acoustic impulse. SonicSpace detects it automatically and captures the decay.
Analyze Decay
The decay curve is analyzed across frequency bands to estimate reverberation time (RT60) and frequency behavior.
Get Recommendations
Results are interpreted for your specific recording purpose with practical, prioritized suggestions.
WHAT IS RT60?
RT60 is the time it takes for sound energy to decay by 60 dB after a sound source stops. It is the primary measure of how reflective or absorptive a room is.
A room with a long RT60 sounds echoey. A room with a very short RT60 can sound unnaturally dry. The ideal depends on what you are recording.
SonicSpace estimates RT60 using standard acoustic methods adapted for ordinary browser microphones. Results are estimates, not certified professional measurements.
MEASUREMENT CONTEXT
SonicSpace provides acoustic estimation, not professional certified measurement. Results are affected by microphone quality, room size, background noise, device hardware, and recording conditions. A standard laptop or phone microphone cannot replicate laboratory-grade measurement equipment.
SonicSpace communicates confidence levels clearly and will not display results when signal quality is insufficient.
